Where to start and what is the process of creating a website with us.
1. Gather information:
To get started most web development companies ask key pieces of information from you including:
- A complete sitemap including all desired pages and sections
- All branding materials including logo and brand color palette
- All content to be included on the website, including text and images
- WP admin, hosting, and domain registrar login information
Don’t worry if you don’t have it. At Sheerweb we don’t expect you to have it all ready. It is quite a complex task to gather all of these key pieces of information. We will lead the process, assist you with every item, show you the best ways to proceed and even do some work for you.
On the first call with you, we examine what you have and set up next steps.
The more information you can provide the better. To start we ask for the bare minimum:
- A description of your company and target market
- Examples of websites you like
- Websites of your competitors
- Any branding materials that you have
- If redesign of the website: the old website
You can search for inspiration examples on awwwards. Please note that these websites are more for show than achieving specific business goals. We can make almost any website, we use WordPress and Elementor page builder, which offer virtually limitless capabilities for website development. However we always make sure User Experience is not compromised due to design choices.
2. Design Options
In terms of design, we offer two options for our clients. The first is to use a third-party theme or template. This option is suitable if you already have a design file you want to follow or if you want to get your website built as quickly and cost-effectively as possible.
The second option is to have some or all of the most important pages custom-designed, which is included in the custom webpage design offer. This option is recommended if you want a unique, high-end website design that is fully tailored to your brand and products. If you already have a website and are looking to redesign, the custom-designed option is also the most suitable.
3. Scope
During the discovery process, we will engage in calls to understand your objectives and the most important features for your website. Based on this information, we will propose the most optimal approach to achieving your desired outcome. The primary determinants of the end result are the time frame and budget you have allocated for the project.
4. Build, Revisions, and Edits
Once we have all the necessary information and the design has been finalized, we will start building your website on a staging site. We will construct all pages and features and then send you a staging link for review. You will then have two rounds of edits to make changes to images, content, and more.
5. Launch and Beyond
Once all edits are complete, we will migrate your website to your hosting account and assist with setting up the domain and hosting. With a well-designed and optimized website, you can effectively communicate your brand, products, and services, educate users, and drive conversions.
